Formed in 2018 by a group of like-minded professionals seeking to create a truly distinctive company, we address the growing demand for our services in Ontario and across Canada. Based in Kingston, Ontario, we hold a Certificate of Authorization with various Engineering Bodies and possess comprehensive knowledge of both provincial and national building codes.
Our consulting engineering services cover a wide range of areas, including Security Systems Design, IT Structured Cable Design, Electrical Power (Generators) Design, Lighting Design, Renewable Energy Design, and Contract Administration.

CHARLES MARTYN, P,ENG.
FOUNDER
Founded and managed by Charles D. Martyn, P.Eng., a seasoned Professional Electrical Engineer licensed in Ontario, our company thrives under his leadership.
As the founder, president, and secretary, Charles leverages over a decade of experience in electrical and mechanical coordination, design, and installation across diverse projects. Renowned as a solar design specialist, he plays a pivotal role as the electrical project engineer, directing design management with a keen eye on project schedules and budgets.
A graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Charles is registered with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), ensuring the highest professional standards.
Residing in the Kingston area, Charles brings not only innovative design strategies and strong communication skills but also critical thinking to every project, ensuring its success from inception to completion.
MICHAEL SCHLOTTER
Mike Schlotter is an Electrical Technologist who graduated with honors from Georgian College in Barrie in 2014. He has extensive experience with Rooftop and Ground Mount Solar projects and has coordinated with multiple Distribution Companies for FIT, MicroFIT, and Netmetering projects. His expertise extends to generator installations for commercial businesses and health care facilities, as well as designing both interior and exterior lighting and lighting controls.
Mike is adept at managing commercial electrical plans, electrical site servicing, and mechanical coordination. Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, he is committed to delivering innovative and efficient electrical solutions.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys mountain biking, playing and coaching basketball, golfing, and taking his dog for walks around Kingston.
MICK MILLER
Mick Miller is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working towards his professional engineer designation with the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
Mick’s technical skills and theoretical knowledge, in conjunction with working alongside experienced engineers, allows him to collaborate with other professionals in the industry.
An effective communicator, well organized, with strong interpersonal skills, Mick is able to support and contribute to C.D. Martyn Engineering Ltd. through their various business endeavors.
